Beijing has signed a contract with the Olympic Broadcasting Services to jointly set up a company, which will shoulder radio and TV coverage for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and the Paralympics.

The Beijing Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games says the joint company, named Beijing Olympic Broadcasting Co., will be responsible for sending public radio and TV signals around the world during the two major sports events.

Moreover, the company will also provide broadcast equipment and facilities for the International Broadcasting Center and other venues, as well as offering related services to radio and TV stations eligible to report the Games.

The Olympic Broadcasting Services is affiliated with the International Olympic Committee.
