Iran warns resumption of uranium enrichment
font size

Iranian President Mohammad Khatami Thursday warned that Iran might resume its uranium enrichment and stop cooperating with UN inspectors.

Mohammad Khatami said in Tehran on Thursday that if the International Atomic Energy Agency does not conclude the inspection on Iranian nuclear activities by mid-June, Iran might withdraw its cooperation.

He noted that Iran suspended uranium enrichment, and implemented the additional Protocol, voluntarily, so it can stop that cooperation at any time.

However, he stressed that Iran will not drop out of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
