Chinese President Hu Jintao said here Saturday that China will strengthen cooperation with Malaysiain bilateral and multi-lateral areas and constantly expand bilateral ties.
Hu told visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawithat facts have proven that China and Malaysia are "trustworthy friends" and "good partners in mutual-beneficial cooperation."
"China-Malaysia relationship has entered a new stage of all-round and profound development," Hu said.
China and Malaysia established full diplomatic relations 30 years ago. Hu praised the fruitful cooperation between the two countries and Malaysia's adherence to the one-China policy.
The Malaysian prime minister arrived in China Thursday on a five-day official visit. He held talks with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral agreements Friday.
Badawi described Malaysia-China relations as forceful and diversified. He said the friendly and cooperative relations have benefited both sides, and Malaysia is satisfied with the relationship.
On his first visit to China as prime minister of Malaysia, Badawi praised China as a country of growing importance, one that is promoting world peace and development. He pledged that Malaysiawill strengthen its cooperation with China on the international and regional arena.
