Visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said here Saturday that he is "happy with the good development of bilateral ties" with China, describing his visit as "successful."

Badawi said at a press conference in Beijing that the two countries are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic ties. There is no serious differences between them and their cooperation has been satisfactory in many areas.

"I'm very happy that there is also high-level interest among our businessmen to do more business, and certainly there is an expectation of greater volume of trade in the future," he said.

The prime minister said the two nations can cooperate more in agriculture, education, health care, high technology and other fields to benefit both peoples.

He also reiterated that the Malaysian side will stick to the one-China policy.

Earlier Saturday, Badawi attended the ceremony of the official launching of the new Malaysian embassy in China and the opening ceremony of a seminar on China-Malaysia friendship held in the Beijing Foreign Studies University.
