font size

In the past 15 years, with donation of 2.2 billion yuan from overseas and home, the Project Hope has supported 2.58 million impoverished students to complete their study. In the same period, it has built and renovated more than 10, 000 hope primary schools. On average, one primary school out of 50 in rural area is built with non-governmental funds. Of all the students who receive help from the Project Hope, over 80 percent live in the Midwest China.

Aside from the hope primary schools built in impoverished areas, the Project Hope sets up "Star of Hope" scholarships in high schools and universities. "Remote education plan" and "Teacher training plan for rural areas" are activated as well. So far a total of 150 online Hope Schools are built. The project donates "Hope Library" to about 10, 000 rural primary schools. It helps put up "Sanchen movie library" and "Hope library" for 130, 000 primary schools. More than 120, 000 teachers in primary schools receive the project's awards. A total of 113, 000 impoverished students in high schools and universities get help from the "Star of Hope" scholarship.
