font size

Presently China is leading developing countries and standing at global average in terms of its major index of children health.

Over the years, China has been keeping its free vaccination rate over 90 percent, with hepatitis B vaccination formally incorporated into the national plan to reduce infectious diseases among children. The death rate of children saw sharp decline during the past 20 years and the rate of medium and serious malnutrition of children under five dropped to 2.83 percent. The coverage of iodized salt reached 95.2 percent, basically eliminated iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) across the country.
