List of banned substances and methods issued

Five Chinese ministries and ministry-level bodies jointly published on Tuesday the list of banned substances and methods, which will help guide doping control in China for the year of 2004.

The five governing bodies are the State General Administration of Sport, the Commerce Ministry, the Health Ministry, the General Administration of Customs and the State Food and Drug Administration.

The list includes 159 banned drugs and three prohibited methods which are also banned by the International Olympic Committee.
