China makes works to rehabilitate disabled orphans

Chinese government is embarking on a free rehabilitation program for disabled orphans who are looked after in social welfare institutions, CRIENGLISH.com reported Wednesday.

China plans to provide free surgery and rehabilitation treatment to 30 thousand disabled orphans from this year to 2006.

There are reportedly more than 50 thousand orphans in China's welfare institutions, among which disabled orphans account for half.
