Commemoration ceremony for victims in Paris airport roof collapse

A ceremony massed 600 people on Wednesday in front of Terminal 2E at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to commemorate victims in the May 23 airport roof collapse, which claimed four lives and left three injured.

Pierre Graff, head of Paris airport authority (ADP) and French Minister of Communications, Gilles de Robien, paid homage to the victims and their families and as well the policemen and rescuers who evacuated the terminal after the accident.

Paul Andreu, architect of Terminal 2E, Jean-Cyril Spinetta, CEO of Group Air France, and Michel Sappin, prefect of the region Seine-Saint-Denis in north-west Paris, laid down a yellow rose on the bind of flowers at the end of the one-hour ceremony, like every participant.

A 28-year Lebanese who wanted to change for the United States, two Chinese nationals, Ms. Liu Jianfang and Mr. Wu Xin, who wanted to change for Mexico and a woman holding a Czech passport were killed in the accident.
