Biggest and roungest moon of the year
A full moon is seen atop the 26-story building of the Westin Hotel in Shanghai, June 3, 2004. Astronomers said the moon was the biggest and brightest of the year, as it travelled closest to the Earth at 21:00 Thursday. Since the moon goes around the Earth in an oval-shaped orbit, it is 50,000 km closer to the Earth at the closest point and looks one-third bigger. The next chances to see the biggest moon will be July 21, 2005, August 9, 2006, and October 26, 2007. [newsphoto]

Japanese Grand Sumo Delegation visits China

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sino-Japanese Air Agreement and air transportation, Japanese Grand Sumo Delegation visited China again since their last tour 31 years ago. The delegation will present two shows in Beijing Capital Stadium on June 5 and 6, and have a series of cultural exchanges in China.
