Russian Anastasia Myskina beat her fellow Elena Dementieva in the final of French Open. It is the first time for the 107-year history of Roland Garros to have a Russian winner in the women's singles.

Russians meet in French Open women's singeles final
Russians, Elena Dementieva and Anastasia Myskina met in the final of the French Open, making it an all-Russian. Elena Dementieva first entered the final.
In the first semifinal, Elena Dementieva became the first Russian woman to reach the final of the French Open for 16 years after beating Argentinan 14th seed ,Paola Suarez 6-0, 7-5.
And her compatriot Anastasia Myskina, the sixth seed, defeated American Jennifer Capriati, seeded seventh, 6-2, 6-2 in the second semifinal.
Whoever wins in the final of the French Open, will change the 107-year history of Roland Garros which has never had a Russian winner in the women's singles.
