Over 97 percent of China's washing powders qualified

Some 97.2 percent of washing powders made in China are qualified, according to the latest sample investigation by the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The investigation showed 70 out of 72 brands of washing powders made in the cities of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan, Yunnan, Shaanxi and Gansu, as well as in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region met the national quality requirements.

The output of these 72 brands accounts for 34 percent of the total washing powder output in China, said an official with the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
