China's biggest steel joint venture begins production

At ANSC-TKS Galvanizing Co., Ltd

ANSC-TKS Galvanizing Co., Ltd, China's biggest joint venture in steel industry, has been put into operation in Dalian recently. This will end the country's reliance on imported galvanized sheet.

The venture is jointly invested by ANSC, an affiliate to Anshan Steel and ThyssenKrupp AG with. The investment totaled 180 million USD with a 50-50 shareholding arrangement. It produces hot galvanized sheet 400,000 tons annually.
