President Hu meets with Polish PM

Hu Jintao said developing the friendly cooperative partnership between China and
Poland conforms to the fundamental interests of the two peoples.
When meeting with Polish Prime Minister Marek Belka in Warsaw, Hu said China is willing to consolidate and deepen exchanges and cooperation with Poland in various fields based on the principles of mutual respect, equality, seeking common ground, and being mutually complementary in their advantages.
Belka agreed with what the Chinese leader said, noting that China's position is becoming more important in the world economy and also exerts a significant influence on Poland's economy. He adds that the two countries have determined the orientation of their economic and trade development and achieved encouraging results during Hu Jintao's visit.
When meeting with leaders of the Polish parliament Jozef Oleksy and Longin Pstusiak, Hu Jintao said China's National People's Congress and Poland's parliament have conducted active exchanges and cooperation and maintained close contacts between various sub-committees of the two parliaments.
Oleksy said the rapid development of China is a favorable factor in maintaining world peace and stability, adding that Poland and China have identical views on many major world issues.
Pstusiak said his country is ready to promote cooperation with China in an all-round way through joint efforts.
