Chinese President appoints new ambassadors

Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed new ambassadors to six countries, in accordance with a decision made by the National People's Congress Standing Committee.

Zhang Yun was appointed the new ambassador to Singapore, replacing Zhang Jiuhuan.

Zhang Jiuhuan was appointed the new ambassador to Thailand, replacing Yan Ting'ai.

Wu Hongbo was appointed the new ambassador to the Philippines, replacing Wang Chungui.

Wang Chungui was appointed the new ambassador to Malaysia, replacing Hu Zhengyue.

Li Shuli was appointed the new ambassador to Madagascar, replacing Xu Jinghu.

Liu Guanren was appointed the new ambassador to Samoa, replacing Gu Sicong.
