Chinese general meets Laotian guest

Xu Caihou, a member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, met Friday with a delegation of the General Political Department of the Lao People's Army, led by its director Chansamone Chanyalath.

Xu said China and Laos share a traditional friendship, and the cooperation between the two armed forces has been developed continuously in recent years.

China is willing to further expand exchanges and cooperation with Laos and make efforts to promote the traditional friendship between the two nations and the two armies, he said.

Chansamone expressed his appreciation for the great support and help China extended to Laos, and said Laos hopes to strengthen exchanges with China, to expand the fields of bilateral cooperation, and to constantly deepen the friendship between the two sides.
