Albania wishes further economic cooperation with China

Albanian Assembly Speaker Servet Pellumbi said Thursday in Tirana that Albania wishes to enhance all-round cooperation with China, particularly in the economic area.

While receiving a Chinese delegation, led by Yang Guoliang, deputy chief commissioner of the Foreign Commission of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, Pellumbi expressed his gratitude for China's support to Albania.

"We recognize only one China and wish for the reunification of China," Pellumbi said.

Yang said this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between China and Albania, adding that the occasion will provide an opportunity for boosting mutual cooperation.

The Chinese delegation arrived in Tirana on Monday for a four-day visit at the invitation of the Albanian parliament.
