United Airlines (UA) of the United States has launched a daily direct flight between Beijing to San Francisco.

Flight UA888 undertaken by Boeing 777-200 starts from Beijing at 12:00 a.m. (Beijing Time) and arrives in San Francisco at 8:35 a.m. local time the next day. And flight UA889 takes off from San Francisco at 2:10 p.m. and reaches Beijing at 5:05 p.m. the next day.

This is the third direct flight United Airlines operates following the air routes of Shanghai-San Francisco and Beijing-Chicago. San Francisco International Airport is UA's biggest hub in the west coast of the United States and has connections with 150 cities in the United States.

China is one the fastest growing aviation markets in the world. By opening the new route from Beijing and a new office in Guangzhou recently, UA hopes to take the leading position on China-US route, said Mark Russell, managing director of Pacific South United Airlines.
