Japan's toxic gas bomb excavated in Shaanxi

A poisonous gas bomb was recently excavated from a construction site in Yulin City of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

The gas bomb, which is 1.5 meters high and has a diameter of 30cm, was covered with rust spots. A wisp of smoke was given off as a result of improper disposition. Fire-fighters and policemen have taken immediate measures to curb leakage and moved it to a safer place.

Experts conjectured that the gas bomb was an air-drop by a Japanese plane during an air attack in Yulin area in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-1945).
