Senior CPC official meets Zambian guests

Wang Gang, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met in Beijing Monday with a Zambian delegation.

The delegation, headed by Boniface Mwamba Kawimbe, chairman of the Movement

for Multi-Party Democracy of Zambia, is here at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Wang, also a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said China and Zambia have traditional friendship, and their cooperation has recorded fruitful results in political and economic fields. The Chinese leadership will strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Under the leadership of the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy, Zambia has kept

political stability and economic progress, and has played an increasingly important role in regional and international affairs over the past 10 years, Wang said.
