font size

China has canceled administrative licensing on producing and selling funeral articles and seven other items, sources with the Chinese Civil Affairs Ministry said on June 15.

The other canceled administrative licensing items include establishing rural old people's homes, the staff number of national social associations, the amount of welfare lottery at the provincial level, the names of buildings in cities and towns, the approval and appointment of enterprises whose products use place names, and the establishment of cemetery sales departments outside their located provinces.

Chinese governments at all levels are clearing up outdated administrative licenses in line with the law on administrative licensing, which will take effect on July 1.
