Athens Olympic flame in Brazil

120 torch bearers completed the relay in Brazil in nine hours in Brazil, June 13. Famous soccer star Ronaldo ended the torch relay and lit the Olympic flame. Athens Olympic torch relay started from Rio de Janeiro on that day. It was the first time for Olympic flame to arrive in South America.

Olympic torch has arrived in South America for the first time. It has been paraded through Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, June 14. Soccer legend Pele was the first person to carry the Olympic flame on its initial visit to South America.
