font size

A Chinese paper-cutting show made debut in the Egyptian capital on Monday evening.

On display were designs conceived by ancient Chinese novels and works depicting normal life in countryside throughout China.

Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Wu Sike told the opening ceremony of the exhibition that such an event would play an active role in helping enhance mutual understanding between the Chinese and Egyptian peoples.

The seven-day event, held at the Display Hall of the Cairo-based Helwan University, was sponsored by the Chinese Fujian Provincial Cultural Department.
