East China's city to host World Cup waterskiing event

Changshu city, in east China's Jiangsu province, will host a World Cup waterskiing event in October, organizers announced Tuesday in Beijing.

More than 50 elite water skiers are expected to take part in the China leg of the World Cup series slated for October 2-3.

The World Cup waterskiing series feature six disciplines, including slalom, tricks and jumping for both men and women.

World Cup fixtures:

First leg: Paris, France, June 19-20;

Second leg: Moscow, Russia, July 24-25;

Third leg: London, Britain, September 3-4;

Fourth leg: Changshu, China, October 2-3;

Fifth leg: West Palm Beach, United States, October 8-9;

Sixth leg: Doha, Qatar, November 26-27.
