Detroit to hold parade Thursday

The Detroit Pistons fans will welcome the NBA championship team with a 1.3 mile parade and rally in Detroit on Thursday, followed by a celebration at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

The parade is to start at the corner of Jefferson and Chene at 11:30 a.m., and head west to Hart Plaza for a rally from 1-2 p.m..

Jefferson between Washington Boulevard and Chene will be closed, except eastbound Jefferson between Bates and Interstate 375, which will remain open. All streets that cross the route will be closed.
