Hundreds of Iranian students Wednesday gathered in the southern province of Bushehr to protest against the United States and European states about their policies toward Iran's nuclear program, the official IRNA news agency reported.
The protesters, rallying in front of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, condemned the policies of the United States and European states on the nuclear activities of Iran and other countries, terming them as "double standard" and "political conspiracy".
"We never bow to the oppression and hegemony policies," said a placard carried by the students. Another one read, "We, Iranian students, consider access to the nuclear energy as the legitimate right of the Iranian nation."
"The file on Iran's nuclear energy should be closed as soon as possible," the protestors also said.
The International Atomic Energy Agency is now at a meeting kicked off on Monday in Vienna. The Board of Governors is discussing a draft resolution on Iran's nuclear program submitted by France, Germany and Britain.
Iran said the draft resolution was "unacceptable" and an outcome of the US pressure.
