England young talent Wayne Rooney said it's a bit of a relief after they finally got the 3-0 win over Switzerland in the European soccer championship Thursday in Coimbra, Portugal.

"I just go out and play the game and I was lucky enough to score two goals," said the Everton striker, whose double boost them to the 3-0 win

"The first one Michael (Owen) put it right on my head and for the second I just hit it hard enough and luckily enough it went in

"It was a big day for us and we came through in the end," added the teenage.

The results give England renewed hope of qualifying for the quarter-finals and erases the memory of Sunday's last-minute 2-1 loss to the lucky-dog France.

"It wasn't the best performance but when the Swiss had a man sent off we took advantage.

"It's a relief after the France game. We're back on track now and we've got to go on and win the next match, " added Rooney.
