Party official calls for upholding revolutionary traditions

Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, has called for upholding the excellent traditions and style of the CPC in building up an overall well-off society and promoting socialist modernization with China's own characteristics.

Li said this Thursday while visiting an exhibition in downtown Beijing on Xibaipo Spirit. Xibaipo, in north China's Hebei Province, was home to the CPC headquarters in the late 1940s before the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.

During his visit to the China National Museum, the official praised the exhibition, calling it a vivid and concrete form for the education of young people. More students should visit the show for ideological and ethical education, he noted.

Liu Yunshan and He Guoqiang, both members of the Secretariat and the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, also visited the exhibition on the same day.
