President Hu winds up 4-nation tour

Chinese President Hu Jintao returned to Beijing late Friday after a state visit to Poland, Hungary, Romania and Uzbekistan.

Hu's entourage including his wife Liu Yongqing, State CouncilorTang Jiaxuan and other senior officials returned on the same plane.

During his visit, Hu also attended the Tashkent summit meetingof the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

On his last stop in Uzbekistan, Hu visited the country's third largest city, Bukhara, accompanied by his Uzbek counterpart IslamKarimov.

At the airport of Bukhara, Karimov expressed hiscongratulations to Hu for his successful visit. The two headsagreed that the successful opening of the Tashkent summit meetingwill have a positive influence on the development of the SCO. Hu was invited by Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski,Hungarian President Madl Ferenc, Romanian President Ion Iliescuand Uzbekistani President Islam Abduganiyevich Karimov.
