Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met Friday with Lee Kuan Yew in Beijing, senior minister of the Singaporean Prime Minister's Office.
Wen said China valued the current relations between China and Singapore and he was satisfied with the bilateral cooperation in recent years.
Wen also valued the achievements made by the Sino-Singaporean industrial park in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, saying the park exemplified the success of the bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
He urged the two sides to cooperate more closely with each other in order to make the park a top-level high-tech zone in the world.
Wen said the two governments also need to further cooperation on west China's development, revitalization of the traditional industrial belt in northeast China and personnel training.
Lee said he was glad to see rapid changes in China in the recent decades and he believed China would realize its goal in economic and social development.
Lee said the bilateral cooperation brought common benefit to both Singapore and China, and seeing big potential in bilateral cooperation in the future, Singapore is willing to strengthen cooperation with China.
Wen and Lee also exchanged views on the economic situation in China.
