font size

Both on the subject of hard work and arduous struggle, a speech made by Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee in December 2002, and a report given by late Chinese leader Chairman Mao Zedong in March 1949, were published as a separate edition and sold in bookstores nationwide from Friday.

Hu made the speech during his trip in 2002 to Xibaipo, the site of the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh CPC Central Committee in 1949, where Mao Zedong made a report of far-reaching historical significance at the very session on keeping up the spirit of arduous struggle after the victory of the nationwide liberation.
