Senior party official leaves for four nations

Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, left Beijing Sunday morning for official and goodwill visits to Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Greece and France.

Li went to the four countries at the invitations of the Republic Party of "Otan" of Kazakhstan, the Ukraine parliament, the New Democratic Party of Greece and the French government.

His entourage includes Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Zhao Qizheng, director ofthe committee's International Communication Office, Xu Guangchun, deputy head of the committee's Department of Publicity and director of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television,and Shi Zongyuan, director of the General Administration of Press and Publication.
