The second working group meeting for the third round of six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue ended here Tuesday, and the six parties agreed to continue discussions on their differences in the future, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue at a regular press conference.
Zhang said the six parties have, on the basis of the first working group meeting last month, continued exchanging in-depth views on building a nuclear-weapon-free Korean Peninsula and freezing nuclear facilities as well as corresponding measures.
Necessary preparations were made at the meeting for the coming third round of six-party talks, said Zhang, stressing that all parties held that the working group's discussions are "useful and constructive."
Consultations were also conducted during the meeting on related issues including arrangements for the third round of the six party talks, which will begin Wednesday afternoon in Beijing's Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
Delegations from China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the United States, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Japan will participate in the four-day talks.
