ROK to work for substantial progress in six-party talks

The Republic of Korea (ROK) will make efforts to achieve substantial progress in the six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, Lee Soo-Hyuck, head of the ROK delegation for the talks, said Tuesday in Beijing.

Lee, also the ROK's deputy minister of foreign affairs and trade, made the remarks upon his arrival at Beijing's capital airport to attend the third round of the six-party talks to be held from June 23.

The heads of the delegations of the United States and Japan will arrive later Tuesday.
