Syrian Cultural Week kicks off

Syrian Cultural Week and Syrian Comprehensive Art Exhibition kicks off in Beijing on June 22. Oil paintings, pictures, handicrafts, handwritings and music from Syria are on show. The two countries hope to expand the cultural exchanges. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is in Beijing for a state visit.

Chinese Cultural Minister Sun Jiazheng(R), Syrian Tourism Minister Saadullah Agha Al Kalaa (M) and Syrian Vice Cultural Minister Riad Ismat (L) were present at the inauguration ceremony.
