China will publish 100 books to commemorate the centenary birth anniversary of late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping.

The 100 books, selected out of 300, include research works on Deng Xiaoping theory, Deng's life stories and manuscripts, poems, children's readers and photo albums.

Most of the research works are written by authoritative scholars and experts. The Collection of Deng Xiaoping's Works on Military Affairs is another important selection of Deng's works following the book Selection of Deng Xiaoping's Works.

The General Administration of Press and Publication has issued a special circular to ensure the publication of these books.

The concerned publishing houses have paid high attention to the publication of these books and have made time schedules for each of them.

The books are expected to go to the market by the end of July. Deng's centenary birth anniversary falls on August 22.
