China National Statistics Bureau released that profits generated by industries above the scale amounted to 425.8 billion yuan from January to May this year, an increase of 43.7 percent over the same period of last year.

This means the growth of industrial profits is still quite fast, although slight declines happened in some sectors.

Another figure is about the comprehensive index of industrial economic benefits which stood at 158.63 for the first months of the year, 15.89 points higher than the same period of last year.
