2004 National Water skiing Championships to be held in Xinjiang
font size

The 2004 National Water-skiing Championships will be held on BoSiteng Lake, the largest inland freshwater lake in China.

The 7-day championships will begin on July 6th and end on July 12th. Some 50 elite water skiers will compete in the match.

It is the first time for Xinjiang to host such a grand water-skiing event. Eight teams with some 80 members, athletes, coaches and judges included, will be taking part in it.

With an elevation of 1048 meters, the BoSiteng Lake is the largest inland freshwater lake in China, covering a water area of 1,640 square kilometers. Its vast expanse of water and the limpidity of the waters make BoSiteng a fine field for sports on water, ice and sands.
