font size

An informed source told Xinhua Thursday in Beijing that Russian delegation head Alexander Alexeyev to the six-party talks said that the on-going third round of talks will not go without any result.

The source, in the condition of anonymity, said that all parties have tabled their detailed proposals. "Discussions on these proposals were underway for seeking common platform," the source said.

According to Russia's Interfax News Agency, the core of the Russian proposal emphasized that the only path to the denuclearization process and ultimate solution to the nuclear issue is to "move forward step by step to the final goal."

Reports on the contents of the Russian proposal can not be confirmed from both the Russian delegation and Russian Embassy in China.

The third round of six-party talks, which involves China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the United States, Russia, the Republic of Korea and Japan, entered its second day of talks Thursday morning.
