China signs tourism MOU with Ethiopia, Mauritius

China signed the Memorandum of Understanding on tourism with Ethiopia and Mauritius respectivelyin Beijing Friday.

China has already signed similar MOU with five African nations,including Kenya, Seychelles, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Tunisia.

Tourism insiders acknowledged that the signing of Sino-African tourism MOU is of vital importance to the enhancement of the traditional friendship between China and Africa, the two way flowsof tourists as well as the promotion of bilateral understanding.

Ethiopia is prestigious for the vast East African Rift Valley, and Ethiopian Airlines is the first African air routes to open direct flights from China. Lying in the south Indian Ocean, Mauritius lists tourism as one of its three pillar industries.
