Through overall cooperation with Microsoft, Changhong would consolidate and develop its market share in China's multi-media terminal, making use of Microsoft information technology and software products, said Changhong.

Microsoft said that its cooperation with Changhong would not be limited in the multi-media field. The two would explore further cooperation in other fields as well.

Changhong sold more than 12 million TV sets in 2003, accounting for 16.04 percent of China's TV market. It has set up technology coalition with some world-famous companies, such as Toshiba, Sanyoand Philips to upgrade its technology innovation capacity so as to avoid disputes over intellectual property rights.
