The foreign ministers of South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will meet privately in Indonesia this week on the side lines of an Asian regional security forum, South Korean officials said Monday.
The meeting between Ban Ki-moon and his DPRK counterpart, Paek Nam-sun, is scheduled to take place on Thursday during an annual meeting of the Asian Regional Forum, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, said the Foreign Ministry officials.
No specific agenda is set for the meeting, the second of its kind, but South Korean officials said the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula may be discussed. The two met for the first time in 2000, also on the sidelines of the regional meeting, according to the South Korean Yonhap news agency.
