Construction of extra-large railway bridge underway in Tibet
font size

Construction of Beisangqu Extra-large Bridge, the first extra-large railway bridge in Tibet, started on June 27.

Beisangqu Extr-large Bridge spans over a branch of Pana River in Amdo County of China's Tibet. The 26-arches and 32-meter-beam bridge stretches 866.74 meter. High on the plateau of over 4,700 meters, the oxygen supply is only half of that in plains. However, railway constructors are trying their best for the railway in Lhasa, capital of China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
