Joint protection of the Mogao Grottoes
The photo shows experts working in the 85th grotto of the Mogao Grottoes. Getty Conservation Institue and Chinese counterpart launched the joint protection of the Mogao Grottoes in 1988. The projet will complete in Spring 2005.

Liu Xiang Wins in Zagreb Grand Prix
Top Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang has taken the 110m hurdles title in 13.25 seconds at the IAAF Grand Prix in Zagreb, Croatia. Liu Xiang, the world bronze medallist, claimed the victory ahead of Stanislav Olijars of Latvia on June 29.

Tongrentang opens branch in Indonesia

More than 400 people from all walks of life in Indonesia, including Mr. Taoufik, husband of Indonesian President Megawati Soekarnoputri, attended the opening ceremony of Tongrentang Chinese Medicine Pharmacy Indonesian Branch. Tongrentang Chinese Medicine Pharmacy, based in Beijing, capital of China, has a history of 335 years.
