The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday refuted for the second time in 10 days a US report on human trafficking in the DPRK and denounced the US as the root cause of human trafficking.
The US recently published a report on human trafficking accusing the DPRK of being a "source of human traffic" and "not having even the lowest standards to combat human trafficking."
"Undisguised human trafficking is now going on in back streets of the US in broad daylight," the DPRK Rodong Sinmun newspaper said in a signed commentary.
"The US should be well advised to address the serious issue of human trafficking at home instead of making nonsensical statements about the DPRK's human traffic," said the commentary.
On June 19, a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry refuted the US accusation over the "issue of human traffic" calling it a "sheer fabrication" to tarnish the image of the DPRK.
