The China Information Center will be open in Nepal's capital Kathmandu on Friday, which will provide the Nepalese people with all kinds of information about China, The Rising Nepal newspaper reported Thursday.
The information center, with computer and Internet facilities, is aimed at enhancing people to people contact between Nepal and China, the state-run English daily quoted Deepak Sarkar, the center's chairman, as saying.
Among others, the center will provide information regarding study in China as well as facilities for those who want to do business with the Chinese side, Sarkar said.
"Only members will have access to the facilities at the information center," he noted, adding that priority will be given to school and college students.
The center is established with the assistance of the Chinese government at the initiative of the World Culture Net of Nepal, which has been involved in cultural exchanges between Nepal and China since the past few years.
