font size

Any organization or individual can get free service in space weather monitoring and warning in China now.

They only have to log onto a website, www.spaceweather.gov.cn and get the latest information of the space weather for free, reported Friday's CRI online.

China finished its National Space Weather Monitoring and Warning Cente, and put into use on Thursday.

The center, set up in June of 2002, is a strategic program of the State Council in space weather research and development.

It sets up the website to provide updated weather reports and forecasts everyday.

Space weather refers to the state of the sun, solar wind, the magnetosphere, the ionosphere and the thermosphere.
