Koguryo sites put onto heritage list

The picture taken on June 15, 2004 shows a pyramid-shaped stone tomb, five kilometers northeast of the city of Ji'an, northeast China's Jilin Province. It is an accompanying tomb for the "General's Tomb" of the ancient Koguryo Kingdom in Jilin Province. The 28th Session of the World Heritage Committee Thursday unanimously agreed to inscribe the capital city and tombs of the ancient Koguryo Kingdom of China onto the World Heritage List, adding another site to the country's 29 world heritage properties.
