HK to issue new banknotes
The photo taken on July 5 shows specimen of new banknote of 20, 50 and 1, 000 HK dollars.The Bank of China, HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank of Hong Kong will issue the new banknotes in October 2004.

Yunnan Safari Park opens
The photo shows a red panda frolicking in the bamboo woods of the Yunnan Safari Park on July 5. The park opens on July 4th. It is situated at the north suberb of Kunming city and covers an area of 3, 000 mu. A total of 18, 000 animals will be raised there. Visitors will be able to watch white tigers, lions, bears and red pandas in a relatively open environment.
