font size

Figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics the other day show that the state's finance expenditure slowed down obviously in May, with a monthly expense amounting to RMB 172.1 billion yuan, and a year-on-year increase of only 1.9 percent. The decrease of capital construction expenditure, which accounted for a percentage of 15.4, constitutes the major factor. The slowdown of capital construction expenditure indicates that the effect of the country's macro-control has become more evident, authorities remarked.

That more efforts were devoted to ensure grain safety and promote the increase of farmer's income, while the capital construction expenditure continued to decrease, was an important task in the finance operation in the previous five months of the year. According to the acceleration of the society's investment growth and the new situation of macro-economy, revealed relevant person-in-charge with the Ministry of Finance, this year's finance operation will earnestly ensure the needs of key expenditure, under the guidance of the country's macro-control policies, such as farming, forestry, water and gas, social security, education, science and health care, thus contributing to a stable and sustained development of the economy and society.
